How do you get to The Lodge?

There are only two ways into our pristine, supernatural slice of Vancouver Island, BC, and that is by boat or by air. Not sure which is best for you and your travel companion? We're here to help. Arriving by Water

It's just over an hour by boat from Tofino to Hot Springs Cove, and voyaging through the dotted island landscapes of Clayoquot Sound and along the rugged Vancouver Island mountain coastline is a wonderful way to view this area of our province and a journey in itself.

Private Vessels

Moorage is $2/metre per night (includes taxes). Rafting of vessels (boat, kayak, canoe, or other water crafts) is not permitted. Either a park attendant may collect the docking fee or payment can be made at the self-registration fee station located next to the onshore park entrance information shelter. Reserving dock space is not permitted, red painted tie rails and signage restricts dock space for park ranger vessels or loading zones for authorized vessels and float plane.

Docking at this facility is restricted to vessels under 12m in length, larger vessels must anchor away from the dock. The maximum length of stay is 14 days per calendar year.

Note: the Maquinna Marine Park day-use fee does not include the docking permit.

Arriving by Air

Getting to Hot Springs Cove from Tofino by air is a quick 20-minute flight by seaplane. Take in the coastline views and spot the wildlife along the way. Day or overnight excursions can be booked through the following companies that currently have a Park Us permit:
